It is a tremendous honor and privilege to serve as President of the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association for the 2026–2027 term. As I begin this opportunity to lead an organization that has meant so much to me throughout my career, I am filled with gratitude for those who have invested in me and for the chance to give back to the coaching profession that has given me so much.

When I began my coaching career 24 years ago, I quickly recognized the value of the SCACA. As a young coach, I was excited to become involved with an organization dedicated to supporting coaches and advancing athletics across South Carolina. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to do more than simply be a member. I wanted to serve, help strengthen the association, and contribute to its continued growth and impact.

Throughout the years, I have had the privilege of learning from outstanding leaders and past SCACA Presidents such as Mickey Moss, Ray Stackley, Bob Hayes, and Scott Earley. Watching their dedication, leadership, and commitment to serving coaches helped shape my understanding of the importance of this association. Their example inspired me to become more involved and reinforced the belief that our greatest strength lies in coaches who are willing to invest in one another and in the future of our profession.

As we look ahead, one of my primary goals is to continue expanding our membership while helping young coaches understand the value of becoming involved in both the SCACA and their respective auxiliary associations early in their careers. The relationships, professional development, and opportunities to serve that these organizations provide are invaluable. By welcoming new members, developing future leaders, and fostering a culture of involvement, we will ensure that the SCACA remains a vital resource for
coaches for generations to come.

The South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association has a rich tradition of excellence, service, and advocacy. More importantly, we recognize that our greatest impact is not measured by wins and championships, but
by the lives we influence through coaching. By equipping, supporting, and developing coaches, we help shape the character, leadership, and future of the student athletes they serve every day. Together, we have the opportunity to build upon that foundation while continuing to positively impact schools,
communities, and the next generation across South Carolina.

Thank you for your continued dedication to the coaching profession and to the student athletes whose lives you influence each day. It is an honor to serve alongside each of you, and I look forward to all that we will accomplish together.
